If you didn't pass the NMC CBT on your first try, you are not alone. The exam is notoriously tricky. The worst thing you can do now is just re-read the same textbooks. You need a targeted strategy.
Step 1: Analyze Your Results
Your results letter will indicate which domains you failed. Did you struggle with Part A (Numeracy) or Part B (Clinical)? This determines your entire study plan. Do not waste time studying domains you already passed.
Step 2: Focus on 'Safety Critical' Questions
The NMC blueprint contains 'safety critical' questions. If you get these wrong, you fail the exam, even if you answered everything else correctly. These usually involve safeguarding, infection control, and drug administration. Make these your absolute priority.
Step 3: Simulate Exam Conditions
Reading theory is not enough. You must practice answering questions under a strict 120-minute time limit to build mental stamina.
